2008 NBA Awards

I made some predictions on who I thought would win what awards before the season started. Now the season is over and it is time to pick the players I would vote for for the various awards if I had a vote.

MVP
Chris Paul
Reason: Has a worst team than Kobe does so I have to go with him.

Sixth Man
Manu
Reason: Would have picked JR Smith but JR barely played at the start of the season.

Defensive Player
Marcus Camby
Reason: Great shot blocker and one on one defender can get a lot of credit for keeping the Nuggets from giving up more points than they already do.

Most Improved Player
Mike Dunleavy
Reason: He has considered a bust since he has been in the league but he had a great season and should be rewarded. Chris Kaman and Turkalo were in the mix.

Coach Of The Year
Rick Adelman
Reason: Team won 22 straight games. Made the playoffs without their best player.

Rookie of the Year
Kevin Durant
Reason: Franchise player carrying a team, no other rookies were doing that.
