Larry Brown Out and Thomas In
June 23, 2006
After more than a month of speculation Larry Brown was finally fired by the New York Knicks. Now Isaiah Thomas is taking over as coach. He did a decent job as coach of the pacers a few years back but I don’t think he can duplicate his success with this team. They will have to make a lot of moves to make that team good or at least play a consistent lineup.
The Knicks have a lot of guards and they seem to have a lot more players then any other team. When I think about their roster off of the top of my head it seems like they have more than 15 players. If they cannot dump some players the Knicks have to a least play the right players. Don’t start Richardson over Jamal Crawford when you know Crawford is the better player. Don’t start Malik Rose when you know Frye is the better player. The best thing this team can over the next few years as they trade players and let contract sexpire is cut their rotation to 8 or 9 and stick with it.
