Knicks Should Have Picked Bayless In The Draft
July 18, 2008
When the Knicks took Gallinari in the draft I thought it was because they were going to give Marbury the chance to try and revive his career with a new coach which is why I thought it was a decent pick. A week after the draft rumors were floting around that they were going to try Marbury or buy him out. Then they signed Chris Duhon and now they are about to sign Anthony Roberson. WTF?
If the Knicks knew it was a possibility that they were going to dump Marbury, they should have taken Bayless. He is a better player than Duhon, Roberson, and Nate Robinson. If Bayless is out in Portland producing while and the Knicks dump Marbury, get suspect point guard play, and get limited production from Gallinari, fans in New York will not be happy.
Evaluations Of Some Of The Picks And Trades In The 2008 NBA Draft
June 27, 2008
Bobcats: They took DJ Augustin with the 9th pick when they already have Raymond Felton although they were trying to move Felton before the draft. With the 20th pick they should have tried to get some frontcourt help but they took a foreign guy that probably won’t play in the league for a few years.
Bulls: The drafted Derrick Rose who I think is overrated and then the draft Sonny Weems in the second round. Why draft Weems when you are already stacked with guards?
Pacers: They trade Jermaine O Neal for TJ Ford giving the 3 point guards, then they draft a point guard and trade him to Portland for Jarrett Jack, another PG and Brandon Rush. Now they have 4 point guards. At least they were able to get a Center to replace O’Neal by drafting Roy Hibbert.
Memphis: Man they are idiots, they drafted Love and traded him, Mike Miller, and Brain Cardinal for Mayo, Antoine Walker, Greg Buckner, and Marco Jaric. So they traded two players, Love and Miller, for one, Mayo and they took back two bad contract with Buckner and Jaric but at least Walker will be gone after the season is over. Another problem is that they have too many guards. Rudy can play the 3 and Mayo the 2 then they have Jaric, Conley, Lowry, and Crittenton to fight for the PG spot.
Milwaukee: They stole Jefferson from the Bucks without really giving up anything but then they draft two small forwards. I pretty much knew they wanted the guy from WVU the last couple of weeks but after trading for Jefferson why the hell did they pick him. They should have taken big guy.
Minnesota: They were able to turn Mayo in to Love and Mike Miller. I think Love is going to be a bust but all the experts think he will be a solid player, if he is he and Jefferson will get the Wolves back on track.
New Jersey: They traded Richard Jefferson for Yi and Bobby Simmons, do I need to say more.
Portland: They traded Jarrett Jack away for Bayless. Bayless is a better player but needs to improve his PG skills a bit more. He may be sitting behind Steve Blake for the first few weeks of the season before taking over starting PG full time.
Who Didn’t Get Picked In The NBA Draft?

We all know who was picked but who wasn’t picked. Here are a list of underclassmen that did not get selected:
Keith Brumbaugh, Hillsbrough CC
C.J. Giles, Oregon State
Jamont Gordon, Mississippi State
Kalen Grimes, Missouri
Reggie Huffman, UAB
Shawn James, Duquesne
Davon Jefferson, USC
Kojo Mensah, Duquesne
Bruce Price, Tennessee State
The most well know of those is probably Davon Jefferson of USC.
A few seniors that were not selected that come to mind are:
Drew Neitzel, Michigan State
David Padgett, Louisville
DeMarcus Nelson, Duke
Othello Hunter, Ohio State

Bulls Get The First Pick In The NBA Draft, Who Will They Take?
May 21, 2008
The Bulls had a 1.7% chance to get the first pick in the NBA draft and they were able to move up 8 spots to get it. Now they have their pick of Derrick Rose or Mike Beasley.
Derrick Rose is from Chicago and he would get the fans and the city excited for next season. But wait a second, the Bulls already have Kirk Hinrich first off all. Plus they are already a jump shooting team so drafting a guard won’t seem to help them much although Gooden and Noah played pretty well down the stretch, plus they still have Aaron Gray.
Beasley would give them some volume lost post scoring which they haven’t had since Elton Brand was in town. He can also step back and shoot the basketball. I think he would be good alongside Deng and Noah in the frontcourt.
As much as people have talked about point guards the last few years because of Paul and Williams I think they should go with Beasley. They need low post scoring more than they need a guy to run the offense.
Lots Of Guys Entering The Draft
April 15, 2008
A ton of guys are entering the draft. Guys that know they will be picked, guys that want to see where they stand, and guys that just want to leave school and don’t seem to care whether they will be picked or not.
You can check out the early entry list at NBADraft.net. It is updated daily.
