Big Kenny George Has Part Of His Right Foot Amputated
October 18, 2008
Big Kenny George, the 7-7 center for the UNC-Asheville basketball team, had part of his right foot amputated due to an infection. He was famous because of his height and ability to dunk a basketball without jumping but he will probably never play basketball again. He is expected to return to school and finish his degree. We wish him much luck in the future.
Big Kenny George Out For The Entire NCAA Season
September 15, 2008
Big 7 foot 7 inch UNC Asheville Center Kenny George, the tallest player to ever play D1 basketball, will most likely miss the entire college basketball season after he underwent foot surgery this week.
That will be a big blow to the Asheville team because he created serious mismatches on offense and disrupted the opposing team when he was on defense.
Evaluations Of Some Of The Picks And Trades In The 2008 NBA Draft
June 27, 2008
Bobcats: They took DJ Augustin with the 9th pick when they already have Raymond Felton although they were trying to move Felton before the draft. With the 20th pick they should have tried to get some frontcourt help but they took a foreign guy that probably won’t play in the league for a few years.
Bulls: The drafted Derrick Rose who I think is overrated and then the draft Sonny Weems in the second round. Why draft Weems when you are already stacked with guards?
Pacers: They trade Jermaine O Neal for TJ Ford giving the 3 point guards, then they draft a point guard and trade him to Portland for Jarrett Jack, another PG and Brandon Rush. Now they have 4 point guards. At least they were able to get a Center to replace O’Neal by drafting Roy Hibbert.
Memphis: Man they are idiots, they drafted Love and traded him, Mike Miller, and Brain Cardinal for Mayo, Antoine Walker, Greg Buckner, and Marco Jaric. So they traded two players, Love and Miller, for one, Mayo and they took back two bad contract with Buckner and Jaric but at least Walker will be gone after the season is over. Another problem is that they have too many guards. Rudy can play the 3 and Mayo the 2 then they have Jaric, Conley, Lowry, and Crittenton to fight for the PG spot.
Milwaukee: They stole Jefferson from the Bucks without really giving up anything but then they draft two small forwards. I pretty much knew they wanted the guy from WVU the last couple of weeks but after trading for Jefferson why the hell did they pick him. They should have taken big guy.
Minnesota: They were able to turn Mayo in to Love and Mike Miller. I think Love is going to be a bust but all the experts think he will be a solid player, if he is he and Jefferson will get the Wolves back on track.
New Jersey: They traded Richard Jefferson for Yi and Bobby Simmons, do I need to say more.
Portland: They traded Jarrett Jack away for Bayless. Bayless is a better player but needs to improve his PG skills a bit more. He may be sitting behind Steve Blake for the first few weeks of the season before taking over starting PG full time.

Lots Of Guys Entering The Draft
April 15, 2008
A ton of guys are entering the draft. Guys that know they will be picked, guys that want to see where they stand, and guys that just want to leave school and don’t seem to care whether they will be picked or not.
You can check out the early entry list at NBADraft.net. It is updated daily.
Memphis Blew It Last Night Against Kansas
April 8, 2008
The Kansas Jayhawks won the NCAA national championship in a comeback victory over Memphis. Memphis had the game locked up but they missed some free throws and they had a turnover on an inbound pass that led to a Kansas three pointer. Memphis went up 3 on a free throw with 10 seconds left in the game. Calapari for some reason did not call a timeout and his players attempted to play D rather than fouling and that cost them the game.
If they would have fouled a player as soon as they crossed half court the player would have went to the line and all Memphis would have had to do is get the rebound if a free throw was missed. Kansas would have fouled Memphis to send them back to the line, and even if Memphis would have missed them both it would only be 3 or 4 seconds for Kansas to get a shot up.
Below you can see the game tying three by Mario Chalmers.

Memphis Will Play Kansas In The National Championship Game
April 6, 2008
Memphis beat down UCLA and Kansas beat down North Carolina to reach the NCAA championship game that will be played tomorrow night. Memphis is a quick high scoring team and Kansas is an exceptional defensive team so it will be interesting to see which prevails, offense or defense.
This could also be an important game regarding the draft status of guys like Brandon Rush, Joey Dorsey, and Chris Douglas-Roberts. Both are projected to be bubble first rounders if they came out this year but great games by those guys could raise their stock.
Final Four Will Feature All Number 1 Seeds
March 30, 2008
This years Final Four will be a dream Final Four because for the first time ever each number 1 seed is in it. The number 10 seed Davidson was extremely close to upsetting Kansas but they fell two points short.
In the Final Four Kansas will play North Carolina and Memphis will play UCLA.
