Wizards Preview
November 26, 2006
The Wizards have 3 solid scorer in Arenas, Butler, and Jamison but they don’t have much upfront, and they don’t play good defense. This team should make the playoffs this season in a weak Eastern conference but they need to do more to keep Arenas happy. He wants to win and they need better players to do that.

Utah Jazz Preview
November 25, 2006
This team is real solid and they are off to a 12 and 1 start. The thing a lot of people are saying is they are deep but can Deron and Boozer do what they are doing for an entire season. The thing I say is that Deron and Boozer can do what they are doing for a whole season but I don’t think their bench can.
Trying to depend on CJ Miles and Paul Milsap for a whole season is going to be hard. Hopefully their playing well without Kirilenko will give them the confidence to keep playing like they are.
Raptors Preview
November 18, 2006
The Toronto Raptors added a few pieces this summer but nothing that is dramatic enough to lead them to the playoffs. They traded for TJ Ford, signed Fred Jones, and picked up a big guy in the draft.
This team has Bosh as a go to guy and they are playing to up the tempo this year but until they get some better players in that starting 5 they won’t go anywhere.
Seattle Supersonics Preview
November 14, 2006
The Seattle Sonics have 4 solid players with Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Luke Ridinour, and Chris Wilcox but after that the team is no very deep. The best thing they have going for them is that those players do play hard.
As poorly as this team played last season it is surprising that they didn’t make many moves. I expect to see a trade for this team in the near furture, they can’t really expect to go anywhere with this roster. Rashard Lewis is their biggest piece of trade bait and he may be gone before February.
With the roster this team has now they can’t make the playoffs. If they make some moves before February they may be able to sneak in.
Spurs Preview
November 8, 2006
The Spurs are the second best team in the NBA. They will make it to the playoffs but if they run into the Mavericks I think they will lose. The Spurs have a mix of young and old unlike the Mavs that are all young and the Heat that are all old.
Last year the Spurs lost to the Mavs but they were injured. They are pretty healthy so far this year and picked up two new big men in the summer. The biggest worry for this team when the playoffs come will be beating the Mavs if they play. If they beat the Mavs just hand them the NBA trophy after that series ends.
Kings Preview
November 7, 2006
The Kings lost Bonzi wells but it seems like Kevin Martin can fill the void that he left. Martin has been playing very well this season. This team still has Bibby and Artest as well so they are set in the backcourt.
Upfront they have Brad Miller, who was recently injured and will miss about 4 weeks, Abdur Rahim, and Kenny Thomas. They are a decent team but they are not very deep. This team along with the Lakers, Warriors, and Hornets will be fighting for the last few playoff spots. Right now I think they have a better chance of making it then the Warriors and Hornets.
Trailblazers Preview
November 5, 2006
The Portland Trailblazers have the worst team in the NBA, they have no chance of making the playoffs. They have some good young players like Brandon Roy and Jarrett Jack but the team is too unorganized and has bad leadership. The best players on the team are Randolph and Miles. Those are the players that seem to care the least about following the rules.
Until the team can convert those two into good guys and hard players or get rid of them they won’t make progress in their rebuilding.
Suns Preview
November 4, 2006
Everyone is looking at the Suns as one of the best three teams in the NBA along with Dallas and San Antonio. I think have the players to get back to where they got last year in the playoffs but I don’t think they can win a championship with Amare playing like he was two seasons ago.
They added some offense in the off season but they are lack defense and frontcourt scoring. If they can get those two things they will have a better chance of beating Dallas and San Antonio.
76ers Preview
November 2, 2006
The Sixers have Iverson, Webber, and Igudola and thats it. Those three players won’t be enough for them to make the playoffs. The team did not make many changes in the offseason in regards to free agency and trades so they must be waiting until better offers for Iverson and/or Webber come along. Both players are old and have big contacts but they both can still score the ball.
Unless this team trades both or one of them they really don’t have other players with any trade value.
