Carmelo Anthony
I think that Kobe will get his first MVP this year whether he is traded or not. Last year his team was playing well until everyone got injured then they started losing like crazy. If they can play well over the entire year and win 50 or more games I think KB24 will win the MVP.
As far as the playoffs and finals go I think that Boston has a very good team. They pretty much just have to play defense if they want to get far in the playoffs. If they can lock teams down they can get to the finals. Their biggest competition are the Nets and Pistons.
The Nuggets are a very good team that seems to be getting overlooked by many people. They have Melo and AI two of the best players in the game. They have Jr Smith and Atkins in the backcourt and one of the best frontcourts in the league. The problem with this team is their frontcourt is injury prone and they need to step up their defense. If everyone stays healthy and Martin performs like he did when he was with the Nets the Nuggets can make it to the finals and win.

Wolves Want To Dump Jaric, Howard, And Walker
October 26, 2007
The Wolves are serious as hell about rebuilding they are pretty much trying to dump any old guy on their team for young players and draft picks. The Wolves would love to dump Walker, Howard, Jaric if they can find some takers. Walker makes $8.5 million this year and $9.3 million next year. Jaric has 4 years left on his deal starting a $6 million this season and going up to $7.6 million in the last year. Howard makes$6.8 million this year and he has a player option for $7.4 million next year.
Looking at those salaries I don’t think any team would take any of those players. The only way they will get rid of them would be a buyout. Even if they are stuck with those three guys they still have a lot of money coming off the books at the end of the season. Ratliff, Simien, Doleac, Eddie Griffin (RIP), Ryan Gomes, and Craig Smith will free up about $20 million.

Heat and Wolves Make A Deal
October 24, 2007
The Heat traded Antoine Walker, Wayne Simien, Michael Doleac, and a first round pick for Mark Blount and Ricky Davis. The Wolves were looking to get rid of some players they felt would be bad influences on their young team. They were reluctant to take Walker but he has two years left on his deal while Blount had three.
For the Wolves this is a weird deal because Ricky Davis was in the last year of his deal of $6.8 million. Instead of taking that off the books at the end of next year they will only take off $4 million because Doleac and Simien ar in the last years of their deals.
The Heat at an underated player that can score in Davis. He can take some of the load off of Shaq and Wade as a very good third option. Blount will be a good frontcourt backup to Haslem.
Lebron Showing Desperation
October 21, 2007
With two of his teammates holding out LeBron James is showing how desperate he is by saying he thinks the Cavs should take a look at Charles Oakley. Oakley is over 40 years old and has not played in a couple of years. If LeBron is courting Oakley he must be extremely desperate. Oakley could probably bring leadership and some rebounding to the team but I am sure he won’t bring much offense which is what the Cavs need.
Jr Smith On The Block
October 19, 2007
Word is the Nuggets are looking at trading JR Smith to the Pistons for Ronald Murray. Smith had his best NBA season last year but his role changed after the AI trade and he was benched in the playoffs. He also had trobule off court this offseason when he ran a stop sign and cause an accident that killed one of his best friends. Getting rid of JR would be a bad move, he is hands down a better and more promising player than Ronald Murray. He and Melo could be a great combo in a few years if they give him the chance to develop.

Training Camp Starts Today
October 1, 2007
Training camp starts today a the big question is, will Kobe be in camp. Most people including me think that he will be in camp. Another guy who has been kicking up dust in the last week is Shawn Marion, he too is expected to be in camp. Some guys that won’t be in camp are the Cavs free agents Varejao and Pavlovic. Both players seem to be asking for more than they are worth which is why neither has been signed. It has been reported that Varejao is asking for a ridiculous $10 million a year.
Besides those few players it isn’t much else to talk about regarding training camp, for now.
